JOB SUMMARY

The Clinical Supervisor is a registered nurse who manages the coordination, supervision, and implementation of professional and supportive services to clients in a safe, cost-effective manner. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for th! e coordination of care during the episode of health care treat! ments. The Clinical Supervisor will provide education and training related to clinical practice issues and regulation and reimbursement changes with new employee during precepting phase of new hire orientation.
JOB DUTIES

Supervision of clinical team including; RNs, LPNs, HHAs, PTs, OTs, SLPs, MSWs and office staff

Communication with field and office staff, patients, physicians, and families.

Manage and maintain compliance

Oversees review of records to ensure continuing home health care client eligibility for covered services

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

Complete required work on a daily basis.

Cope with work involving ill, disabled, and dying patients.

Sit, stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently.

Move equipment and supplies necessary for job functions.

Read, speak and write English in order to fulfill job functions in an understandable way.

See/hear or use prost! hetics that enable accomplishment of job.

Meet the health requirements of the agency.

May have possible exposure to infectious diseases.

Abide by all occupational safety and bloodborne pathogen protocol to minimize illness and/or injury.

Move, support and/or transfer patients as required to perform essential functions of position.

Required Skills

Nursing skills as defined by accepted nursing standards. Requires interpersonal skills and ability to manage patient care episodes. Excellent organizational and communication skills . Minimum 2 years homecare experience and one year supervisory experience. CPR required. Current State License as a Registered Nurse. Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing. BSN preferred.

Required Experience

Must have valid driver’s license, r eliable transportation and ! valid automobile insurance coverage.

2-3 year’s experience as a registered nurse in an appropriate clinical care setting, home health environment preferred. Evidence of clinical and supervisory knowledge and experience appropriate to the assigned supervision responsibilities.
