Job Summary:
Under general direction, functions collaboratively with other members of the health care team to implement the role of expert practitio! ner, consultant, educator, manager, and researcher within a specialized are of nursing. Possesses a high degree of knowledge, skill, and competency in the provision of nursing care directly to the patient, family, or community, or indirectly through guidance of care by other nursing personnel. Provide clinical support, participate in multi-disciplinary rounds, available to provide urgent and emergent services.
Job Qualifications:
Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing with clinical specialization from an accredited institution. State of Michigan nurse specialty certification. National Certification in Advanced Practice Nursing.
Experience: 1 to 3 years experience as an Advanced Practice nurse in a specialty clinical setting.
Licensure: State of Michigan Nurse Practitioner license required
Skills: Current knowledge of age specific education principles; research process; evidenced based practice in cl! inical skills and knowledge. Effective interpersonal, verbal a! nd written communication skills. Teaching skills necessary to instruct patients or clients. BLS Certified.
