Position Summary: This position will serve as the front desk receptionist in the main lobby for the Office of Governor Katie Hobbs. The incumbent will be responsible for greeting visitors who have appointments with the Governor and Governor’s Executive Staff and directing them to the appropriate area. The position will also be responsible for supporting the Governor’s Executive Staff by providing some backup administrative support and performing tasks related to functions of the office.
Travel: The Executive Assistant may be expected to travel up to 5% of the time, within the Greater Phoenix Area. Employees will be expected to use their personal vehicles and will be reimbursed for mileage according to Arizona state guidelines. For greater distances, employees will be given access to a vehicle and reimbursed for gasoline. All employees must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and personal auto insurance.

- Greet and assist visitors to the office.

- Exhibit polite and professional communication in person, via phone, e-mail, and mail.
- Assist with office administrative functions including, but not limited to, updating contact lists, ordering or restocking supplies, producing outreach materials, etc.
- Maintain supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies.
- Knowledge and experience of appropriate computer software including Google Suite and Microsoft Suite.

- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
- Three years of administrative assistant experience.
- Must reside within commuting distance to Phoenix.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, personal auto insurance, and ability to use personal vehicle for work travel.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check.
