HR Administrative Assistant

Job Description:

The Human Resources Specialist will provide support in various HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and benefits administration. This is a remote, part-time position requiring approximately 20 hours per week.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and
  • communicating with applicants.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring smooth and efficient integration into our team.
  • Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Maintain employee files and HR databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Help resolve employee relations issues, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the coordination of staff training and development programs.
  • Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications Required:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with others in a variety of situations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and general computer use.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as an effective team member.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to changes in priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively as part of a team or as part of a team member within a firm or organization.
  • At least 2 years of experience in an HR role (preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in using HR software and digital platforms.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
