The role:
Join our Business Operations team in Salem. In this role, you will support managers and staff for the
Statewide Transportation Research Section
. You will also review and edit technical reports, coordinate events, provide technology updates and perform administrative and clerical duties. You will be the go-to for assistance in all technology areas. Apply today!

A day in the life:
-
Perform administrative duties in areas of budget, finance, policy, communication and office management.
-
Work with section management to collect information used for reporting and budget needs.
-
Maintain knowledge of current section projects and program statuses.
-
Oversee and coordinate large print jobs, formatting of electronic forms and office equipment.
-
Assist with the coordination of recruitments, official correspondences, meetings and calendar management.
-
Assist with important elements of research reports and special projects.
-
Edit electronic copies of research reports to ensure they meet the American with Disabilities Act (ADA).
-
Analyze and assist with maintenance of theResearch Section website.
-
Assist with editing and formatting reports, this can include references and bibliographies.
-
Work is primarily performed in a typical office environment with hybrid work options —occasional state travel may be required.

What we need:
Three years of clerical/secretarial experience which included:
One year at a full performance level performing typing, word processing, or other generating of documents; and lead work responsibility or coordination of office procedures.

Experience editing and reviewing large research reports.

Experience tracking and implementing human resources, financial and other support service policies and procedures.

Experience engaging with a primarily remote office.

Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Outlook calendar and PowerPoint).

Strong oral and written communication skills.
