This is a "multiple-fill" job opening:
A total of two (2) (1.0 FTE), Registered Nurses will be hire! d to fill this job opening.
Hours & shifts are identical for both hires.
(see below for work schedule detail) Responsibilities* A level one adult trauma center with 59 beds, including 3 resuscitation bays, 24 acute care beds, 16 observation beds, 5 fast track beds. Nursing team rotates through all areas and receives specialized training via ENA classes. There is computerized charting and patient priority is determined using the Emergency Severity Index. Salary & Nursing Framework Level:
This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C, including B.
Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.
Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level E.
Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position. Posting may be filled after the initial 5-day posting period. Positions less than 20 hours/week may be combined.

18 months of current ED RN experience, ICU, or adult step-down ventilated patient population.
Current experience is defined as 20 hours per week minimum during the last 18 months.
Successful candidate must obtain ACLS during orientation, and obtain Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification within 6 months post orientation to maintain position. These can be obtained through UMHS Emergency Department.

NOTE: Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position. Desired Qualifications* Excellent interpersonal communication skills are desired.
Experience as a Charge Nurse is desired.
Pediatric experience is also desired.
Current ACLS, TNCC, or PALS certification is desired. Work Schedule Shifts: Nights
Hours: 40 hours per week
