Responsibilities
- Supervisory responsibilities over the research clerical staff including Research Grant/Contract Specialist and Senior Research Grant/Contract Specialist.
- This will entail the hiring, evaluations, coaching, disciplinary and termination of personnel.
- In collaboration with the Principal Investigator, the individual will interact with Human Resources and Research Administration on personnel related issues for laboratory personnel.
- They are responsible for monitoring the financial status of multiple research grants, sub contracts, and consulta! nt and service agreements in multiple areas utilizing proper accounting! procedures in areas such as basic and clincal research.
- Assists the Principal Investigators in the preparation of research grants, with specific responsiblity for the preparation of budgets and budget justifications in compliance with internal and external agency guidelines.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accouting, business or related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Four to six years of progressively responsible financial experience.
