Borgess Lee-Memorial Hospital, in Dowagiac, MI, is now accepting applications for a Full-Time Medical Assistant Position.
Provides nursing! care to assigned patients under the direction of the clinical administrator, physicians, & mid-level practitioners.
Provides care in accordance with the objectives, policies, & procedures of the hospital and medical group.
Maintains established standards of patient care.
Participates in basic patient education.
Is able to assess infants, children, adolescents and adults.
Assists providers with office procedures as directed.
Is able to function in the receptionist role as needed.
Follows Corporate Responsibility policies and completes modules as required.
Qualifications
Must possess good oral and written communication skills and good interpersonal skills. Must be able to work in a team-oriented office.
Requires the ability to operate a computer efficiently, effectively and accurately for applications such as word processing and spreadsheets.
Requirements:
Educational Requirements
Graduation from ! an accredited Medical Assistant program or related work experi! ence (such as Patient Care Associate; Certified Nurse Assistant; Emergency Medical Technician; or Health Study Student with partial completion of Clinicals).
License/Certification Required
Current BLS certification.
