Mid-Level Provider

Location: Royal Oak Michigan

Description: Beaumont Hospitals is presently looking of Mid-Level Provider right now, this position will be placed in Michigan. More details about this position opportunity kindly see the descriptions. Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for Fragility Fracture Service

Assess and admit all EC patients who have suffered a fracture and meeting certain critieria.

Manage a daily census of all primary patients on the Fragility Fractue Service.

Daily rounds on the fragility fracture patients.

Assist with optimizing patients to achieve the goal of a 24 hour window from admission to surgery.

Schedule patients for OR, order preoperative testing, make certain patients are medical clear for OR.

Post op care.

Discharage patients and dictate discharge summary.

Write daily progress notes detailing patients’ primary diagnosis as well as co-morbidities with complete assessment and plan of care for all active problems.

Communicate with Orthopedic attendings as well as consulting service physicians to streamline care.

Attend regular family meetings to update them on the plan of care as well as formulate a discharge plan â€" act as physician designee for discharge planning as Orthopedic surgeons often are not available for meetings due to their surgical schedule.

Act as primary liaison with continuing care in the discharge planning process for all Fragility Fracture patients.

Must work well as a team with residents, fellows and nurses.

Requirements: Current

State

of

Michigan

Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner License. Active Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license/certification is required. BLS and ACLS Certification

(from the American Heart Association)

are required.

DEA license.

Preferred experience in Orthopedic surgery or other surgical experience.

AB 26 pay grade Exempt status
