Department Description This value based State of the Art unit includes: 17 beds in ICU designed to care for patients in a critcal care state and need Drips: Vasopressors, Antiarrythmics myocardial infarction, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, vascular surgery, post CABG, neuro and general surgery patients. 8 beds in Step-down unit handles myocardial infarction, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, vascular surgery, post CABG, neuro and general surgery patients. 4 Open Heart Beds Job SummaryUnder minimal supervision, ensures individualized patient care is provided utilizing the nursing process which includes assessing the patient, identifying patient problems or potential problems, developing and implementing a nursing plan of care, and evaluating care of assigned patients. Strives for Clinical Excellence by utilizing established pathways and protocols in an effort to achieve Clinical Excellence. It is the responsibility of the registered nurse ! to provide coordination of all patient care activities.
Required Certifications, Registration or LicensureCurrent Michigan LicensureCurrent BLS certificate1 year RN experience Minimum Knowledge and EducationGraduate of an Accredited School of Nursing Acceptable level of performance and completion of an individualized orientation by the Department of Nursing Education.
