The Cath Lab Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse who under the general supervision of the physician, provides assistance during cardiac catheterizations and special procedures by performing patient monitoring, administration of medications, and technical duties as ordered. Responsible for preparation of procedural instruments and equipment. The RN demonstrates an understanding of and responsibility for patient confidentiality and privacy. Minimum Requirements: 1. Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse License. 2. One (1) or more years current Cath Lab experience, including interventional cardiovascular required. Scrubbing in preferred 3. Critical Care experience preferred. 4. BLS/ACLS certified. 5. Successful completion of Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) training program or within 120 days. ~cb~
