Hours vary, from 0730h to 0900h start time, nine hour shifts. Weekends on call, as needed ba! sed on patient population.
The Clinical Nurse utilizes the nursing process with depth and understanding. Administers peripheral and central line infusions, blood and blood product transfusions via: peripheral catheters, mediports, and /or PICC lines; Starts peripheral i.v. sites, accesses ports, takes care of
PICC lines and dressing changes, administers SQ and IM injections; Provides nursing care to all age groups during infusion/transfusion time; May function as any or all of the following: caregiver, counselor, planner, evaluator, and/or coordinator; Develops teaching strategies for patient/family. Communicates patient outcomes and changes to multidisciplinary team members. Delegates assignments / tasks with appropriate follow up. Develops and implements plan of care for patients based on scientific research rationale.
Serves as mentor/resource for members of health care team. Contributes to achievement of unit / division / corporate objectives.! Maintains current knowledge in area of clinical practice.
Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, current
Michigan
registered nurse license. BLS certification, American Heart Assocication - Healthcare Provider. P
revious infusion/chemotherapy.
Preferred Qualifications: OCN/CRNI
