The Clinical Nurse utilizes the nursing process with depth and understanding. Develops and implements plan of care for patient's based on scientific research rationale. Communicates pa! tient outcomes & changes to multidisciplinary team members. Delegates assignments/tasks with appropriate follow-up. Contributes to achievement of unit objectives. Develops teaching strategies for patient/family. Serves as mentor/resource for members of health care team. Maintains current knowledge in area of clinical practice
This is a Contingent Nurse position. The hours vary between 8-16 hours a week.

Complete Medication Authorizations/Prescription Refills

CT/MRI Authorizations
·
Manning Test Result Line
·
Triage Phone Calls and Walk-in Patients
·
Monitor PT results for Coumadin Patients
·
Transfer Patients to EC when needed
·
Basic
Diabetic Teaching for patient care area
·
Research and notification of Lab results
Phone triage skills, problem solving, and the ability to collaborate with many ! different physicians for patient treatment and follow-up in th! e Ambulatory Setting.
Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current Michigan registered nurse license. BLS from the American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications: Outpatient clinic, Family Medicine, and/or Emergency Room Experience.
