This position organizes, prioritizes, coordinates and administers individualized, professional patient care to patients. Provides quality nursin! g care as directed by medical staff and in accordance with obj! ectives, policies and procedures of the hospital and the State Nurse Practice Act. Maintains the standards of nursing care as established. Participates in Performance Improvement. Participates in unit meetings and inservices. Applies knowledge of pa¬tient education, discharge planning, patient referrals and ethical and legal implications as necessary. Able to assess and reassess infants, children, adolescents and adults of all ages. Complies with standards of confidentiality, Patient's Bill of Rights, and the EMTALA Law. Follows Corporate Responsibility policies and completes modules as required.
The RN must adhere to the additional educational and competency requirements that are listed in the addendum for each department in which they will be working. The RN will be knowledgeable of nursing practice, procedures, competencies, and patient care standards as well as regulations and guidelines pertaining to nursing care. Good organizational ability. Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current RN licensure in the State of Michigan required.
Must have BLS certification within 3 months, ACLS certification with in 6 months, and PALS within 1 year of employment.
The RN must adhere to the additional educational and competency requirements that are listed in the addendum for each department in which they will be working.
The RN will be knowledgeable of nursing practice, procedures, competencies, and patient care standards as well as regulations and guidelines pertaining to nursing care.
