The Clinical Nurse Leader performs the roles of lateral integration, transforming patient experiences and enhancing outcomes of care (clinical, service, a! nd costs), through process improvement, data management, and informatics, promoting evidence-based practices and outcomes evaluation and developing staff nurse capability to manage complex cases in clinical practice. The CNL must have a passion for women, children and families. The role of the CNL often extends beyond a specific unit in performing hospital wide change efforts. The successful candidate will demonstrate that s/he can provide leadership towards our clinical, financial and quality goals while engaging staff and physicians in the process.
The Maternal-Child CNL works collaborativly with other members of the Medical Services Team including the Clinical Service Director, Managers, CNS and Educational Coordinator. A team of CNS, NPs, and CNLs provide additional support and integration of evidence based practice across the continuum. As a teaching hospital we are associated with both Obstetrical and Gynecological Medicine and Family Medicine Residency Progr! ams.
At least 3 years of experience in Labor & Delive! ry
Master's degree in Nursing with an emphasis on the Clinical Nurse Leader role
Licensed Registered Nurse
Must complete CNL Certification within 6 months
