Registered Nurse (RN)
1 - 3 years of experience required
JOB SUMMARY
The Registered Nurse I! I is responsible and accountable for prescribing, delegating and coordinating all nursing care to assigned patients within Lakeshore Surgery. Utilizes the nursing process in delivering nursing care. Assumes an active role in problem solving and decision making. Participates in continuous quality improvement initiatives. Communicates and collaborates with others to achieve desired patient care outcomes. Provides patient and family education. Provides leadership to other members of the patient care team. Participates in professional development of others.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SPECIAL SKILLS
Graduate of an approved school of nursing. ADN required. BSN strongly preferred. Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan. BLS required. Previous nursing experience helpful. Requires clinical knowledge and analytical ability necessary to formulate a plan of nursing care for the patient population described in the nursing unit's "Scope of Nursing Services". Must have t! he interpersonal skills necessary to provide effective communi! cation and leadership to unit personnel, other departments, medical staff and patients/families. Must be able to perform clinical nursing procedures relevant to the Scope of Nursing Services provided on the unit. Must be able to effectively operate equipment used to deliver services to the patients on the unit. (~CB~) MON
