WSU Physician Group, one of southeast Michigan’s largest multi-specialty practice groups which provide high-quality, patient-centered care at more than ! 100 locations spanning three counties is currently seeking to fill the Triage Nurse position in the Consumer Relations Department.
The selected candidate will be responsible for triaging inbound calls for an 8:30- 5:00 call center operation, will gather problem information, select appropriate triage guidelines, disposition(s) and care advice based on nursing judgment within the scope of license. The Triage Nurse will provide clinical information and education for inbound and outbound calls, oversight and support the nurse triage line, manage clinical call queues, and perform duties and responsibilities related to the various disease management programs and SSI programs (Health Risk Assessments).
Position requires Graduate certificate from an accredited nursing program. At least five (5) years of combined experience in pediatrics, obstetrics, home health, community health, school nursing and/or emergency nursing, preferred. Current RN license in State of Mi! chigan, without restriction. Experience in telephonic triage a! nd/or managed care setting is highly desired. Strong computer skills required, including experience with Microsoft office. Must possess and demonstrate strong abilities in data entry, typing, call documentation and customer service skills including active listening.
