Documentation Specialist

Location: Royal Oak Michigan

Description: Beaumont Hospitals is hiring Documentation Specialist right now, this vacancy will be placed in Michigan. More complete informations about this vacancy opportunity kindly read the description below. Job Duties:
Works with clinical disciplines to ensure efficiency and consistency in clinical documentation. Provides education and organizes documentation improvement efforts to physician's/clinical staff. Follow up & provide information to Clinical Documentation Improvement Team.

Required qualifications:
RHIA, RHIT or CCS with a minimum of 2 years inpatient acute care coding experience

OR

Registered Nurse with active RN License in the state of MI. CDIP or CCDS credentials preferred. Demonstrated understanding of ICD-9-CM, coding protocols, Pros! pective Payment System (DRG's) and government Regulations. Com! prehensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy/physiology, pharmacology, disease process and surgical procedures. Computer application skills (Windows, Word, Excel). Must be highly motivated and be able to function independently. Must have ability to interpret information, relay information to others, communicate with medical/clinical staff and give presentations.
