Department Description
Our 39-bed PACU is equipped wit! h EKG telemetry, invasive line monitoring, pulse oximetry, and serves both in and outpatients on a 24 hour basis. The surgical population includes pediatric, critical care, vascular, otology, general, gynecology, urology, thoracic, plastics, craniofacial, ophthalmology, orthopedic and podiatry
Job Summary
Under general supervision and utilizing the Nursing process, plans and renders professional nursing services to meet the needs of customers/patients on a nursing unit or specialty area.
Qualifications
Required:
Certifications, Registration or Licensure
:
Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Michigan Board of Nursing. ACLS certification required within six months of accepting position
Minimum Knowledge and Education
:
Graduate from a school of nursing (as registered nurse)
Minimum Work Experience
:
One year med/surg experience; one year critical c! are experience or PACU (Pre/Post Op) experience with monitoring experie! nce
