JOB SUMMARY:
Professional caregiver utilizes the nursing process to provide quality patient (resident) care. Responsible and accountable for prescribing, delegating, supervising and coordinating all nursing care to assigned patients. Practice in accordance with the Michigan Public Health Code (Nurse Practice Act) and the organizations/departments standards. Interacts with all departments in the organization. Must demonstrate competency in caring for age specific groups as determined by department scope.
MINIMUM LEVEL OF EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Currently licensed in the State or Michigan. BCLS certification within three (3) months of employment. Individual departments/units may have additional requirements.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Excellent interpersonal skills in order to lead care team and interact with internal/external customers.! Demonstrated evidence of self-direction skills with ability t! o assume responsibility for the quality of nursing care delivered to patients. Able to articulate and demonstrate commitment to the Philosophy, Values and Mission of Mercy Hospital Cadillac. Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations, the Corporate Compliance Program, Code of Ethics, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behavior.
