The role requires an associate’s degree and state licensure as a registered nurse, as well as BLS, ACLS, and possibly, advanced certification. Applicants must have 1 year of experience scrubbing and circulating within a variety of surgical procedures or at least a focus in same day surgery, ENT, plastics, cardiovascular, and orthopedics.
Daily duties vary, but often contain evaluation, preparation, implementation, and documentation for all nurse-related procedures.
