The CENA is a member of the patient care team and is responsible for assisting with providing patient care under the general direction of a Registered Nurse. The CENA has knowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a high school diploma or equivalent with certification from a nursing assistant program and is listed on the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry. Current Healthcare Provider CPR is required.
