Position Overview:
Evangelical Homes of Michigan (EHM) is eager to partner with a new Corporate Medical Biller who is inspired by our values and wants to join in our mission and continued growth. The Corporate Medical Biller will be responsible for the submission, follow through and maintenance on all Medicare A & B claims and insurance claims for the Evangelical Home Saline and Evangelical Home Sterling Heights healthcare and rehabilitation communities.
Key Responsibilities:
Submission and follow up on all Medicare A & B claims, Medicare Replacement A and B claims, Insurance claims and Med B or othe! r insurance outpatient claims. Med. B claims for the Evangelic! al Home Saline and Evangelical Home Sterling Heights communities.
Follow up daily on all Medicare claims for any corrections and pay dates.
Download all Medicare payment RAâs, and import them into the Point Click Care (PCC) system and post.
Verify payment amounts on the RAâs and making any adjustments to residentsâ accounts.
Manage the accounts receivables for both the Evangelical Home Saline and Evangelical Home Sterling Heights facilities for all payers (Excluding Medicaid, Private Pay and Hospice).
Submit Quarterly Medicare Credit Balance Report. Verify Med. A accounts receivable for any credits prior to submission of report, resolve the credit and make adjustments to Medicare.
- Receive and process payments from residents and clients. Maintain a positive, trusting professional relationship with residents and clients.
Must possess an Associates ! or Bachelors Degree in Business or Finance, or equivalent related experience in Medical Billing/Healthcare.
Must possess prior experience in Medical Billing for Healthcare, Hospital and/or Skilled Nursing facilities/organizations.
Must be knowledgeable of reimbursement regulations and nursing practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guideline pertaining to long-term care administration.
Must be knowledgeable in computer and billing systems. Experience in Point Click Care (PCC) is a plus.
Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, including active listening.
