Job Summary:
Delivers care to neonates per established policies and procedures by the Department. Functions indep! endently when delivering nursing care and dependently when performing specific procedures delegated by and under the direct supervision of the Neonataologist.
Job Qualifications:
Education:
Master of Science in
N
ursing (if NNP program after the year 2000);
Degree in Nursing and
completion of the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Program.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in NICU
Licensure:
MI RN license and MI Practitioner Specialty certification within 2 yrs start of employment.
Skills & Abilities:
Demonstrates effective written and oral communication skills. Demonstrates interpersonal skills
necessary to interact with patients in situations requiring sensitivity and tact.
Demonstrates
strong health assessment skills.
