Position Summary
Assumes shift accountability for managing, supervising, and coordinating the operational and financial effectiveness and efficiency of the nursing service/ unit of the hospital. Some service lines may require the ability to be available for on-call to better support the nursing service/unit. Additionally, Inpatient Supervisors may be required to fill-in for the Clinical Services Coordinator as needed. Assists with development of policies, procedures and processes in coordination with unit leaders to ensure the highest quality services are provided at all times to all customers. Key responsibilities include assisting with the following: unit based goal setting, program development, fiscal management, resource allocation, standards of care, policy and procedure development and interpretation, human resource development, performance improvement and maintenance of interdisciplinary collaborative relationships.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Education - Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree in Nursing by January 1, 2016
Experience - 1 year of experience in clinical experience in area of specialty
Licenses - Registered Nurse (RN)
Certification in nursing administration or clinical certification within 12 months of assuming the role or when eligible to sit for the exam
Basic Life Support (BLS)
