Variable - This is a Flex 2 Contingent position. It requires a minimum of 24 hours per calender month which includes 1 required weekend shift.

Department Description
40 bed family-centered unit specializing in treatment of newborns to 25 years old with respiratory disorders, asthma, diabetes, surgical, orthopaedic, hematology/oncology illnesses, nephrology, neurology and asthma patients along with various medical/surgical diagnoses. Unit features a pediatric pain service, pediatric palliative care service and a child-life program.
Job Summary
Under minimal supervision, provides individualized patient care by assessing the patient, identifying patient problems or potential problems, developing and implementing a nursing plan of care, and evaluating care of assigned patients. Job requires standing, walking and occasional heavy lifting in turning and positioning patients.
Qualifications
Required Certifications, Registration or Licensure
Current Michigan Licensure
AHA (Amer! ican Heart Association) BLS Health Care Provider Card or its equivalent! which is an American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer Card renewal every two years
Ability to cross train between Pediatrics and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
2-3 years of Registered Nurse experience, preferably in Pediatrics
Minimum Knowledge and Education
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
Minimum Work Experience
Prefer between one and two years progressively more responsible experience.

Bachelors Degree
3-5 years of experience
