Functions as a professional member of the our clinical care team combining roles of health care provider, mentor, educator, researcher, and administrator and performing ! a variety of functions to support quality health care services delivery. Provides acute and chronic direct patient care services, works with primary care physicians and other members of the health care team to improve patient access and response; conducts, supervises, orders and interprets diagnostic and laboratory tests, prescription of pharmacologic agents and non-pharmacologic therapies. Teaches and counsels individuals, families and groups. May practice in ambulatory or acute care settings. Supports quality initiative processes.
