Manpower, Inc. of SE Michigan is currently recruiting for Licensed Practical Nurses to work with the Michigan Department of Corrections in Jackson. An LPN, or licensed practical nurse, is a certified medical professional who performs a variet! y of bedside care practices and is generally under the direction of a physician or registered nurse (RN).
Responsibilities:
- Provide care to Mental Health patients
- Administer medications to patients.
- Assist in carrying out rehabilitation programming and activities for patients.
- Provide personal care services to patients.
- Perform safety and housekeeping assignments.
- Record treatments in patients' charts.
- Procedures in which you may be involved include: sterile dressings, soaks, compresses, enemas, suppositories, tube feeding, and oxygen therapy, range of motion therapy, catheterization, diabetic care, and pre- and post-operative care.
- Graduation from an accredited licensed practical nursing program
- Licensed by the State of MI as an LPN
