This is a part-time position working 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday; some evening and weekend hours required.

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field, with an emphasis in writing, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in project and/or event planning and coordination. Demonstrated ability to compose original correspondence and prepare written reports, ability to work on multiple projects with competing priorities and timelines, and ability to interact professionally with external donors and constituents is necessary to adequately fulfill job responsibilities. Excellent organization and analytical skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with others. Evening and weekend hours may be required.
Unless otherwise required by an applicable collective bargaining agreement, all minimum, additional and desired qualifications are preferred, but qualifications, degrees, and/or experience deemed comparable and/or equivalent by Oakland University in its sole and exclusive discretion may be considered.
Plan and coordinate all activities related to all events presented by the School of Nursing including Nightingale Awards in Nursing, school sponsored conferences, Scholarship Recognition Reception event, Nurse Practitioner Networking Night, Class Reunions, and other ad hoc events, lectures and meetings hosted by the SON. Planning and execution of these events includes logistics, sponsorship solicitation and directing marketing efforts and budgeting activities for all.
