Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Perform vital sign checks. Perform chem sticks. Assist patients with, or administer routine personal hygiene. Prepare patient! s for appointments. Ambulate, move and lift patients. Assist with feeding patients. Assist patients with bed pan and urinal service and record output. Assist nurse with admission, transfer and discharge of patients. Response to call lights. Work under the supervision of a professional nurse. Assist in obtaining and caring for equipment. Help maintain a safe, clean environment in the patient unit. Required Qualifications*
Must be able to perform a wide range of physical activities which include moving, transporting and positioning patients and equipment as well as constantly positioning self to provide patient care and related duties.
Departmental Requirements: High School Diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination education and experience. Current Nurse Aide Certification from an approved Nurse Aide Training Program. Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal: a) demonstrated ability to read, and b) demonstrated ability to interpret nurse! aide assignment sheets and kardexes. Experience as a nurse ai! de within the past year in home care, hospital, or nursing home setting. Work Schedule
Hours/Week: 32 Hours
